More details from petition creator

Parking in the Sussex Avenue is already difficult and is likely to get worse once we come out of Government restrictions due to Covid-19 pandemic. The lack of parking space is an ongoing problem. It has been difficult nowadays to find a place to park on our road due to several vehicles being left for weeks by non-residents which has put an enormous pressure on our road. The road is now used as a car park for local workers, people visiting Hounslow, commuters to the city as well as those travelling from Heathrow. In addition, it makes difficult for the medical services/fire brigade to have access to the road especially at junction of Sussex Avenue/Woodlands Road. As a result, we are facing an increased wave of antisocial behaviour/drinking/littering/burglary/break-in cars on the road, as you can imagine, parking away from our road of residence not only causes anxiety in respect to where we leave our vehicle but also about our wellbeing. It is logical that residents should get priority to park their vehicles on the road close to their homes, therefore we do believe that introduction of a CPZ will create a fairer system for the whole street. These measures will also help in bring down the burglaries reported in the neighbourhood. We believe that Sussex Avenue should be considered for a CPZ. That will offer a chance to all residents to park their vehicles on their road of residence and ease the stress of being unable to find a parking space when returning home.
