We the undersigned petition Hounslow Council to Reinstate the loading bay outside Bergenia House, Bedfont Lane, Feltham. More details

When Bergenia House was completed in 2006 a marked loading bay was situated on Bedfont Lane quite near the front door of the block. It was removed a year of so later as part of changes to the road markings in the area, which included painting a double yellow line along the street.

It is currently extremely difficult for the residents of Bergenia House and Azalea House to get anything large delivered. There is no legal parking suitable for deliveries within any reasonable distance, and without having to cross a major road. There is a multi-storey car park, but its height restriction is too low for regular delivery vans, and people are not supposed to enter it via the vehicle entrance/exit anyway. Delivery drivers are often forced to park on the double yellow lines which is far from ideal. Bergenia House does not have any residents parking so many residents are dependent on deliveries to obtain larger items.

When the level crossing adjacent to Bergenia House closes on 15 March 2019 the southern section of Bedfont Lane will cease to be a through road and the road layout will need to change again. The only traffic passing the building will be accessing the Asda loading area and the Sue Ryder shop car park. A short stay loading bay will not cause an obstruction.

Please arrange for a loading bay to added as part of the work. It will be a great help to residents of Bergenia House and Azalea House.
