Petition update 2 from the council, 13 December 2011

Response From Councillor Steve Curran to the Petition. This property has been empty since 2006. The property is a large double fronted detached 5 bed house in a conservation area of Chiswick, believed to be worth approximately £900k in its current dilapidated state. The high value of the property; and estimated cost of repair £150,000 limits the options available to the Council. The Empty Property Officer will be serving the owner with statutory notice in the coming weeks and inform him that the Council will instigate a Compulsory Purchase Order if he fails to resolve this long standing matter. The CPO report is scheduled to be presented at the February Borough Council meeting.

Petition update 1 from the council, 25 October 2011
