We the undersigned petition Hounslow Council to stop Hounslow Highways removing any part of the boundary fence or vegetation separating 451-505 Twickenham Road, Isleworth, TW7 7DZ from the public footway and highway, until residents are properly consulted and an acceptable improvement scheme is agreed. Residents have received a letter from Hounslow Highways dated 7 September, saying works will be carried out between 11th and 18th September i.e. within 4 to 11 days.

The work described, is ripping out the boundary line fencing, hedging and other vegetation that separates the front of our properties from the public footway and busy A310 Twickenham Road. This will leave the frontage of properties directly exposed to the public footway and highway. Residents have not been consulted, and the works appear to be motivated by aesthetic concerns ahead of the Rugby World Cup.

Residents should be properly engaged and consulted before any action is taken that affects their privacy, security or quality of life.
